What Happened When I Left Finance & Found Mindful Creativity

For a long time, my world was structured around deadlines, routines, and fast-moving schedules.

My background was in finance — a space that taught me discipline, ambition, and structure, but also one that often left little room for pause, reflection, or creativity.

Somewhere along the way, I realised how disconnected many of us had become from simple moments of presence and self-expression. Creativity existed quietly in the background of my life, but over time, it became something I kept returning to — especially during periods when life felt overwhelming or constantly busy.

What started as a personal creative practice slowly became something much more meaningful.

Through mindful art, journaling, and cultural storytelling, I began experiencing creativity differently — not as performance or productivity, but as a way to slow down, reconnect, and create intentional moments of calm.

That journey eventually became StoryBeyondLines.

What I once saw as small creative moments gradually evolved into workshops, exhibitions, cultural experiences, and gatherings designed to help others experience that same sense of connection and presence.

Today, one of the most meaningful parts of this work is watching people come together through creativity — whether it’s colleagues creating Rangoli together during Diwali, friends sharing stories during a workshop, or someone quietly reconnecting with themselves through art.

StoryBeyondLines was built from that belief: that creativity can be more than something we admire.

It can become a space for connection, reflection, culture, and community.
